Its been about a month since we heard anything about Atari’s new console, and its been 20 years in the making. The Ataribox console will come in two different flavors, one with a throwback wood grain front and another with a black glass panel design.  Both versions give a recognizable nod to the classic Atari console with a sleek modern look and finish.

Ataribox will have an HDMI port, four USB ports, a network jack and SD card support for the console. Atari has not yet released specs on the console but its likely that they will follow Nintendo’s route with the NES and SNES Classic consoles. The network jack on the Ataribox is an interesting addition as this adds the possibility of downloadable titles, cloud based storage and other notions but thats all speculation at this point. Considering how far back Atari’s library goes, this console should appeal to a vast audience of gamers. What do you think? Does the Ataribox look like a console you would add to your current lineup? What games would you want to see?
