505 games has announced today that it has entered into agreement with Remedy Entertainment for a brand new game for Xbox One and PC. You may be familiar with Remedy Entertainment as they’ve developed some small games by the name of Max Payne, Alan Wake and Quantum Break. Over the years, Remedy has acquired more than 100 awards from various publications and organizations. Time Magazine even named Alan Wake Game of the Year in 2010.

Digital Bros will publish a brand-new game by putting up approximately $10 million dollars and providing marketing and publishing services through 505 Games for retail and digital version.

Code named Project 7 (P7), is a third-person action game set in a newly created universe by Remedy. It will have an attention grabbing story line and a game structure offering a long-lasting experience, P7 contains the deepest game mechanics offered to date by Remedy. A stunning experience should be conveyed to the gamer through Remedy’s Northlight technology.

“It is a sign of how far 505 Games has come that we are now in a position to partner with such a talented development studio as Remedy Entertainment”, commented Raffaele Galante, CEO of Digital Bros. “Our mutual life-stages, ambitions and business objectives are actually very well-aligned and we are excited to enter into what feels like a very natural partnership. The agreement fits perfectly with our strategy of continuous improvement of the quality and the potential returns of our portfolio.”

As E3 approaches, expect to hear more and more details on the upcoming project although it’s still very early on in development. This is definitely an exciting time for Xbox One owners because one of the best studios is making another game for the console.
