Bluetooth is Bluetooth, right? Wrong. What’s so special about 5.0? We’re glad you asked. For starters, the Galaxy S8 will be able to independently support two Bluetooth streams simultaneously. This means that you and “bae”, your bff, sister, brother or whoever the other person is, will be able to watch and listen to the same content without sharing headphones. Each person can then be able to control the volume for his or her own headphones without deafening the other person.
That’s just one of the new features of 5.0.
However, Bluetooth 5.0, has some other really cool features you’ll probably utilize more so than the fore mentioned. It offers data speeds that are twice as fast as Bluetooth 4.2 and has four times, yes 1,2,3,4 times the range and will still emit great sound. Speaking of which, with the upgraded 5.0 audio quality will improve which means better phone conversations, because most of us prefer that than texts (lol) and better music playback quality.
Although 5.0 won’t be the deciding factor when you’re choosing which smartphone on the market to purchase, it’s still a neat feature to have at your disposal. The Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ are the phones available that feature it, but I’m sure more phones down the line will adapt it as well.
